Lord of the Ages - Magna Carta

Pieces scattered,

Held by things long passed.

How to be in silence?

Running from gunfire.

Or perhaps creating it…

Trip Out…

If everything is a matter of perception, and every sensible object is perceived differently how can we know what is exists and what its true properties are? Let us not confine this to sensible objects but extend it to include the nature of people and other things that are not classified as objects, these things must however be sensible, for perception presupposes sensibility.

Hidden Paradise

Drawn to this forbidden place.

We stare in the hope of finding something different,

but we already know the nature of what resides in these waters

It is the reason we were attracted here

Prohibited.

I will enter despite the walls and the barbwire that surround

I will roam this hidden paradise

Find caves still unexplored, and half built structures left behind

I will linger in this hidden paradise as long as it is able to sustain me

But not forever.

Once the walls fall away and the waters darken

There will be no reason to stay

All appeal is lost

Either I shall walk over the rubble gracefully or I shall be pushed

Beneath the surface things move and thrive

If only we could clear the muddy waters

Islands of Sovereignty.

Islands of Sovereignty.

“Choose Life. Choose a job. Choose a career. Choose a family. Choose a fucking big television, choose washing machines, cars, compact disc players and electrical tin openers. Choose good health, low cholesterol, and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments. Choose a starter home. Choose your friends. Choose leisurewear and matching luggage. Choose a three-piece suite on hire purchase in a range of fucking fabrics. Choose DIY and wondering who the fuck you are on Sunday morning. Choose sitting on that couch watching mind-numbing, spirit-crushing game shows, stuffing fucking junk food into your mouth. Choose rotting away at the end of it all, pissing your last in a miserable home, nothing more than an embarrassment to the selfish, fucked up brats you spawned to replace yourselves. Choose your future. Choose life.” ― Irvine Welsh
